MaoMaoTV – The Richest Ramen in Japan

This was actually the first video I filmed with MaoMaoTV, Mao’s introduction to her favourite Ramen shop in Kyoto.

Mao speaks in Chinese in the video, but she adds subtitles in English and Japanese in editing. I don’t understand Chinese, so while we were filming I didn’t really know what she was talking about. Now it all makes sense!

Technical Settings

Video

This was filmed entirely on my SONY RX100M3 on manual video mode. This was mostly filmed 60p 28M (PS) which is 60fps. I used Intelligent Auto Stabilisation. I set the shutter speed to roughly twice the frame rate, 1/125/sec and aperture was at F2.8. Mao did all the editing with Adobe Premiere Pro.

Audio

The audio for this video was taken from the RX100M3 on camera microphone. You can judge for yourself, but this isn’t recommended if you want high quality audio, which many say is more important than video quality on YouTube. A camera with an external microphone output is recommended for better audio. Regardless of the audio source, it’s is recommended to use a noise reduction filter with software such as Audacity. Mao had a lot of trouble reducing the noise from the wind outside at the start of the video.

Look forward to more collaborations with MaoMaoTV in the future!
