South Swell サウス・スウェル – It’s Brooklyn Roasting Company with great burgers!
South Swell was recommended to me from members of the Coffee Crawl Meetup group after we visited Brooklyn Roasting Company and North Shore in Kitahama.
South Swell is a cool looking surf-themed cafe in Honmachi, Osaka, Japan. It might be a bit out of the way, but this is an advantage. The area is quiet and you can really relax and enjoy a fine meal at South Swells. South Swell is run by the Brooklyn Roasting Company, so they provide the same coffee selection.
They have hamburger and hot dog sets, and the hamburgers are amazing. I had a pineapple burger. It was even more satisfying with Brooklyn Roasting Company coffee to compliment the set. I had an Americano to taste their espresso. Today the espresso was from Sumatra, Indonesia. Then I followed that set up with a drip coffee, Tanzania Peaberry along with dessert. It was a truly relaxing experience.
If you want to check out a very chilled surf cafe in Honmachi, and maybe enjoy a burger set, South Swells is the place to be. If you’d like to check out coffee from Brooklyn Roasting Company, they have two more shops in Kansai. Kitahama and Expo City, Suita.
